Futronics (NA) Corporation is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Pasadena, CA

Futronics, a global leading AI robotics company in stealth mode, is looking for talented Technical Project Managers to join the team in Pasadena. You will have the unique opportunity to help establish and drive the go-to-market strategy for Futronics' innovative next-generation service robots. The R&D team is made up of a diverse set of experienced product managers, researchers, and engineers with different industry backgrounds and areas of expertise in emerging technologies. The ideal candidate has a track record of successfully managing complicated and challenging technical projects with significant business impacts. You'll coordinate engineering resources to deliver disruptive technology and implement our innovative platform in the field of healthcare and elderly care across the globe. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive and prioritize multiple initiatives alongside Product and engineering teams 
  • Methodically lead all scrum meetings (daily stand-ups, sprint plans, sprint reviews and retrospectives)
  • Coordinate cross functional activities and resource/capacity planning with a focus on deliverables and milestones, adapting quickly to changing priorities 
  • Facilitate and schedule design reviews, collecting artifacts and organizing documentation at all stages 
  • Conduct continuous risk analyses (business and technical), generate and execute mitigation plans in a rigorous manner
  • Effectively report changes to timelines, resource allocation, and expectations to all stakeholders
  • Manage escalations in a timely and responsible manner, resolving dependencies and blockers
  • Be the focal point for sourcing suppliers, procuring hardware, and tracking lead times and budget
  • Serve as a technical expert to scope out resources needed to deliver custom solutions and co-developments with various customers at different scales
  • Play a key role along with the product managers in executing the product roadmap, influencing stakeholders as a voice of reason
  • This role may require up to 15% domestic and international travel

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management (process design, operations, internal controls, quality assurance, requirements documentation, testing, validation, etc.)
  • Aptitude in agile development and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Github, MS Project)
  • In depth understanding of engineering and manufacturing operations and practical experience in New Product Implementation (NPI)
  • Demonstrated track record of successful project execution 
  • Ability to travel internationally to support builds
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment to deliver well-designed products
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, presentation, and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced technical degree or certification, or MBA
  • Working knowledge
  • Strong technical background in either EE, ME, or Mechatronics background is a plus
  • Fluency in Mandarin to communicate with R&D and Production teams in China
  • Existing supply chain network related to robotics (hardware and electronics)

Location: Pasadena, CA. This position is onsite only.
